A portrait photo of Tom Vulcan

Tom (he/him) is a set and costume designer, and lighting designer and technician based in Naarm/Melbourne. He has a keen interest in the manipulation of space and creation of bold aesthetics and recently completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Production) at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).

His VCA credits include Set and Costume Designer for devised theatre production 'Rarely' (2022), Set and Costume Designer for 'Gesturing Weaving Unfolding' (chor. James Batchelor), and Lighting Designer for 'Heathers the Musical' (dir. Alister Smith).

He has completed secondments with Set Designer Richard Roberts on The Australian Ballet's 'Don Quixote', with Melbourne Theatre Company's Design and Staging Department, and with the Electrics Department at Michael Cassel Group's 'Mary Poppins'.
