Filipe Filihia is a set and costume designer working in Melbourne who explores their intersectional heritage through experimental design and storytelling.

Recently completing studies at the Victorian College of the Arts, he is hoping to continue their practice of bringing marginalized communities to the forefront of the theatrical world.

Their credits include LELE (2022/2023) with Western Edge Youth Arts, and 'Footprints', choreographed by Ngioka Bunda-Heath, a production within the 2022 VCA Dance graduation season 'Alter Kinetic'.

Further work includes an internship with Sophie Woodward on Red Stitch Actors' Theatre's 'Monument' by Emily Sheehan, and Costume Construction for Joel Bray's 'Brolga: A Queer Koori Wonderland' as part of the 2023 Fringe Festival.
