'The Tempest'
The set design concept for The Tempest draws the theme of storms and surveillance. Influenced by the eye of storm and wind-erosion landscapes with surrealist paintings, this stage design is characterised with fluid, linear, volumetric elements as the core components.
The movable and rotating devices take prominence on stage. This design delivers an immersive stage that can readily accommodate the changing demands of the narrative. An asymmetric, three-dimensional layout that offers a dynamic space all within a minimalist and powerful visual aesthetic.
